Below is a Maverick that I finished, with a holster.
I use metalics on NERF but have tried to avoid them on other figures as much as possible. I just don't want to chainmail | black ink, or black | dry bursh chainmail anymore. Too GW.
Anyway moving back on topic; the maverick. Painting big things is harder than you might expect. People look closer and things like weathering and scratches are a much harder sell for the eye. Conversely, however, blending becomes easier as the surfaces are a little bigger. But I find paiting hand held objects harder. Which I gues is why air brushes were invented.
I would make this lil' pacifier a Sh 6, 2/3/4 rg 18 in Malifaux.
